I could not import settings from a particular application.
EmFTP obtains the other application settings from the Registry or INI files when EmFTP imports settings from another application such as FFFTP and WS_FTP in Welcome to EmFTP wizard. However, to locate the INI file, EmFTP needs to obtain the Registry information. If FFFTP without the installation package is installed, there is no Registry information, and EmFTP cannot import the settings. In this case, FFFTP with the Installation package should be installed before the settings can be imported by EmFTP.

Not every version of applications such as WS_FTP was tested, so settings from some versions may not be imported correctly. If settings cannot be imported correctly, please send the zipped registration information along with the application name, the version of the application, the OS version, and EmFTP version information to the Support.
Passwords are not saved when configurations are exported and then imported again.
Among EmFTP configurations, passwords are encrypted using a key unique to a computer and an account. When passwords are exported, they can be imported from the same computer using the same user account. However, passwords cannot be restored from other computers or other user accounts. Even if trying to restore from the same computer and the same user account, if the OS is cleanly installed, the unique key will be different and the passwords cannot be restored.
